Alexander St. Clair Candles was founded in 2022 by Alexander Hollings, beginning in a small basement studio with a vision to create luxury candles that combine clean ingredients, elevated design, and lasting fragrance.

The brand first launched through a summer student business program supported by the City of Kitchener, where a $1,500 startup grant helped turn the idea into reality. What began as a small local startup quickly became something much bigger through dedication, creativity, and a passion for building a meaningful brand from the ground up.

From the beginning, sustainability and quality have remained at the center of everything we do. All of our candles are crafted using a coconut soy wax blend, chosen for its clean-burning performance, smooth finish, and eco-conscious properties. We believe luxury products should not only look beautiful, but also create a cleaner and more intentional experience within your home.

As the company continued to grow, Alexander St. Clair Candles underwent redesigns and relaunches to refine its identity and elevate the overall customer experience. Each new chapter brought improvements in fragrance development, packaging, product quality, and brand direction — always with the goal of creating timeless products that feel modern, sophisticated, and personal.
